


James E. Kunk President, Central Region of Huntington National Bank
James E. Kunk is President of the Central Ohio Region of the Huntington National Bank. Since joining Huntington in 1981, Kunk has held numerous high-ranking positions, including: executive vice president of Commercial and Retail Banking, senior vice president and manager of Private Banking, vice president of Capital Markets Group and vice president of the National Banking Division.
Prior to joining Huntington, Kunk was an account executive with the Insurance Ohio Company, a subsidiary of The Ohio Company. He also spent six years as an account executive with Alexander & Alexander Inc., a worldwide insurance brokerage. He is an expert in many areas of banking and is a respected speaker on banking issues and alternative delivery channels.
He currently serves on the Board of Trustees of Franklin University. Additionally, he is a board member of The Columbus Chamber of Commerce, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, The Columbus Zoological Association and the I Know I Can Educational Program.
Kunk received a bachelor of science in social science from The Ohio State University and also is a graduate of The Graduate School of Banking at The University of Wisconsin – Madison.
