2012
Leadership Symposium
After the success of our 2011 Symposium and with the popularity of our daily Leadership Practices, we looked to expand our series from the writings of Jason Jennings, author of It’s Not the Big That Eat the Small – It’s the Fast That Eat the Slow among other business and leadership books. “USA Today has named Jason Jennings one of the three best business speakers.”
Due to the feedback from the Leadership Practice series, Fast and Faster, the Leadership Center decided to host Jennings as our Keynote Speaker at our 2012 Raymond E. Mason, Jr. Leadership Symposium on Tuesday, April 24th from 8-4 at the Columbus Convention Center.
His newest book, The Reinventors, is due out just in time for our Symposium. These books will be available on April 24th - Be one of the first to purchase a copy and we’ll allow time for book signings.
In addition to his keynote he has agreed to do a break-out session. Also, as part of his preparation, Jennings will be contacting up to ten local leaders to learn more about their businesses so he can include them in his presentations.
This has created a unique opportunity for us. We have begun marketing “Jennings Tables” with local businesses. It includes a table (for 8 participants) along with being included in the interviews, and guaranteed seats at his break-out session. The responses have been very positive and several organizations have already reserved a Jennings Table. If you are interested in your organization becoming a ‘Jennings Table’, please contact Debbie Johnson at Debbie.johnson@franklin.edu
At the Leadership Center, we love panel discussions. During past Symposiums, we’ve explored Leadership across the sectors as well as gender. This year, we have a panel of leaders who will answer the question, does leadership differ according to the size of the organization? Panelists include, Jane Grote Abell, Chairman of the Board and Owner, Donatos Pizza, Dwight Smith, Founder, President & CEO, SSI, Andy Johnson, CEO, The Johnson Family Diamond Cellar, and Jerry Jurgenson, former CEO of Nationwide Financial Insurance Serivces Inc.
Our selection of break-out speakers are varied and deal with the many aspects of Leadership. Our session speakers include:
- Jason Jennings
