Terry Boyd

Terry A. Boyd, Ph.D., serves as Course Manager and Faculty member in the MBA Program, at Franklin University, where he began teaching in 1996.
From 1991 until 1997, Dr. Boyd was Director of Human Resources for U.S. Health Corporation (currently OhioHealth), where he was responsible for planning and administering the human resource functions for this company of more than 15,000.
Between 1983 and 1991, Dr. Boyd filled several positions with the City of Columbus under Mayor Dana 'Buck' Rinehart: Executive Administrative Officer to the Director of Human Services, Administrator of the Minority and Female Business Development Office, Administrator of Community Services, and the Administrator of the Youth Services Bureau.
In addition to his teaching and management duties at Franklin University, Dr. Boyd also provides training and consulting services to numerous clients in the areas of board and leadership development, diversity awareness, team building, conflict management, change management, and HR management.
Born in Cleveland, Ohio, Dr. Boyd received his bachelor's degree from Defiance College and completed his graduate work at The Ohio State University. He is a member and immediate past President of the Board of Trustees for the Columbus Metropolitan Library system, an appointee of the State of Ohio's Unemployment Compensation Advisory Commission, past Vice Chair of the Franklin County ADAMH Board of Trustees, past Cabinet Member of the United Way Fund Raising Campaign, and a member (elected 2003) and President of the Columbus Board of Education.
