Ken Schnacke
President and GM, Columbus Clippers
Ken Schnacke joined the Columbus Clippers organization in 1977 as an administrative assistant. He became Director of Operations in 1979. Five short years later he became Assistant General Manager, and from there was promoted to General Manager in 1989. In 2001 he was named President and General Manager, a title he maintains as of today. He has also served as an adjunct professor in Sports Administration for The Ohio State University, and is currently an advisor to the sports management program at Ohio Dominican University.
He serves on the board of directors for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Champions for Children (Children’s Hospital), Arthritis Foundation (local chapter), Experience Columbus, and the Columbus Sports Commission.
Ken is also a member of the Columbus Clippers Booster Club, Agonis Club, Home Plate Club, OSU Diamond Club (for OSU Baseball), Buckeye Boosters, Columbus Maennerchor, and Charity Newsies.
Additionally, he serves as Chairman for the Minor League Baseball Licensing Committee, which oversees baseball licensing for all 160 teams throughout the country; and he also chairs the Triple-A Marketing Committee composed of all 30 Triple-A teams.
He is married to Sandy and they have three children, Stephanie, Kevin and Keith, and one grandchild.
