Elfi DiBella
President, Huntington Foundation
Elfi Di Bella is the President of the Huntington Foundation and Director of Community Affairs of Huntington Bancshares, Inc. and widely credited for her collaborative and innovative approach to addressing the social and economic issues and problems many communities face today.
With 27 years of service to Huntington, Ms. Di Bella has managed various administrative functions, and currently leads Huntington’s social responsibility and philanthropic programs. Serving in this capacity for nearly a decade, Ms. Di Bella developed and instituted the highly acclaimed “Seeds for Growth” community resource workshop, revitalized and grew Huntington’s volunteer corps to one of the largest in Columbus and transitioned the organization to a strategic and targeted corporate social responsibility framework.
Recognized as a “Woman of Achievement” in 2009 by the YWCA Columbus and a recipient of the American Red Cross Steckler International Service Award, Ms. Di Bella is an active community leader and volunteer. In addition to Ms. Di Bella’s corporate responsibilities, she also chairs the Community Shelter Board’s Board of Trustees, serves as Treasurer of Dresden Sister City, Inc., is a member of the Board of Trustees for Leadership Columbus and for the Columbus Metropolitan Library Foundation, and serves as a Commissioner of the Columbus Community Relations Commission.
Additionally, she serves on the steering committee of the $16 million capital campaign for the Mid-Ohio FoodBank and the Selection Committee of Champion for Children for seven consecutive years, and two years as Chairman.
Previously, Ms. Di Bella has served as the Chair of the Community Shelter Board’s Rebuilding Lives Updated Strategy Steering Committee which has been recognized as a national model, as well as in various leadership roles for the Columbus School for Girls, the Development Committee for Choices, the Columbus Metropolitan Club, the Jazz Arts Group, Columbus Sister Cities International and the Columbus Arts Stabilization Committee.
Originally from Idar-Oberstein, Germany, Ms. Di Bella earned a bachelor’s degree in business management from Franklin University and is currently a member of the Boston College Center for Corporate Citizenship Roundtable.
