Leadership Practice
Practice Based on an in-depth review of current thinking in the field of practice (as compared to talent), we have created our own leadership practice principles; continually stretching, consciously thinking, doing openly, and developing others. These concepts are further supported by concepts and ideas that are presented, explained in detail, and applied in exercises and activities in our Leadership Institutes. By practicing their leadership during and after the Institute, we have seen how our participants greatly increase their leadership development. Click here to download a Practice Woksheet.

You’ve just taken over some new responsibilities. Maybe you are heading a new group, you are moving into an expanded or different line of business, or you have just become the leader of a much larger organization. There are some very good books you can read, and you can get some top-notch help from many of the materials available through the Franklin University Leadership Center.
But, how about just a quick little list to post for daily reference?
- Rise above (some will be initially critical of you!)
- Expect a lot (from everyone, including yourself)
- Demand respect, but more importantly, give it
- Don’t be shy (get out of the office, away from that desktop)
- Kick it up a notch (after all, that’s why you are there!)
